The Deer Tracks project
My Goal
Create a gig poster for The Deer Tracks.
My Role
Concepting, moodboarding, entire poster design and layout.
The Creation
On a whim I cut up a bunch of holographic paper into various triangles. I messed around for a while and photographed piles of the shiny triangles. By playing around in Photoshop and reflecting the images, I ultimately ended up with this imagery that resembles what you'd see in a kaleidoscope. This imagery I continue to manipulate today (see Unleashed) and it's been sort of a discovery of myself.

The Takeaway
I ended up sending a photo of the finished poster to The Deer Tracks and they responded with "Brittany, it looks so nice! We feel honored that you picked us for your poster project! Thank you for sharing it with us!" followed by a smiley face.
This was a project I worked on while attending Minnesota State University, Mankato.
